RBW - Barrel Seat

After a long day on the water and a few portages behind you, sitting on a hard barrel lid is nobody's idea of a good time.

The RBW Barrel Seat snaps onto the top of your 20L, 30L, or 60L canoe barrel to give you a proper padded seat right at camp. Two layers of high-quality foam do the work here, and the design is specifically shaped to eliminate that uncomfortable lid ridge that tends to make barrel-sitting miserable. It connects to your barrel's side handles or to the top strap of your barrel harness, so it stays put when you want it to and comes off cleanly when you don't.

Packing up is just as easy. The barrel seat stows inside your barrel or clips to the outside using the same quick-release buckles, so it's never in the way on the water. At 350 grams it's a negligible addition to your portage weight for the comfort payoff you get at the end of the day.

It's a small thing, but after a week in the backcountry, a comfortable seat around the fire makes a real difference.
