The Viking WWC 2025 is a special version of the Viking knife made for the 2025 World Weightlifting Championship. Developed together with Swedish Weightlifting Plate Manufacturer Eleiko, this knife combines a 1000 year old design with the rubber material that Eleiko uses on their weightlifting plates and true craftsmanship by Helle. Only 500 pieces made - including the items made for the medalists at the 2025 finals i Førde.
About the original Viking
The Viking is the revision of a Helle classic that was originally produced as a part of a fund-raiser for an around-the-world expedition in a Viking longship.
The handle is barrel shaped, but tapered to give the knife a distinct grip even if it is not contoured. It offers beauty in its simplicity and has become a modern classic, even if the design is more than a 1000 years old.
The knife works really well with all size hands, but should only be used by those of you that have more experience. No finger guard here, so think before use.
The knife is equipped with a rather thick blade, made of laminated carbon steel. Black to its finish, straight from heat treatment. Its narrow tang reaches all the way through the handle and is pinned old style with a diamond shaped washer.
Viking comes with a traditional back sewn leather sheath to hang in its leather loop on the belt.
This knife will rust if not maintained.
